Yes,
By colloquium. Practical and oral exam.

4. How many hours of work per week are there?:

About 30 hours. Also shifts, the number of which is depended on the Hospital and the specialty.

6. Which languages are necessary for the medical residency?:

Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and one foreign language.

Section B. Finance

1. A. Is there a tuition fee for the residency? If so, how much (in euro or usd)?:

No.

2. What is the annual salary (in euro or u.s.d)?:

About 1,500 € (euro) per year.

3. How expensive are the costs of living (average annual expenditure in euro or u.s.d)?:

About 500 € (euro) per month.

Section C. Application Procedure

1. Accreditation procedure:

The young doctor schould contact the Entity Ministry of Health, who will proceed the certification of the degree. The degree should be translated in the Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language.

2. Other requirements:

A certicficate that he/she speaks Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language.
The certificate that he/she pays the specialization fee.
The international aplicants should translate their degree and have a certificate about the knowledge of the domestic languages.

5. Does everyone who passes the medical license examinations gain a residency position in a hospital?:

Not everyone who passes the medical license examinations gains a residency position in a hospital.

6. Specialties in which it is most difficult to obtain a position:

Cardiology, Cardiosuregery, Ophtalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology
In the city hospitals of Sarejvo, Mostar, Banjaluka and Tuzla.

7. Is there a waiting list for medical graduates who want to begin a residency?:

No.

9. Requirements for international physicians to be able to work in this country after completing their specialization there:

There are no special requirements for international specializants.
