What is Medical Education? In which ways are medical students involved in their education and what is their role?
The main objective of SCOME is the improvement of medical education, in every spectrum, through active participation and involvement of medical students, both in the development of it as well as in recognizing problems and suggesting solutions for improvement.
The ultimate goal is the development of an integrated educational and health system, where medical students will be actively involved and will make the most of their abilities.
Major areas of concern: development of (clinical and non clinical) skills and knowledge, doctor-patient relationship, medical resources management, students rights, curriculum development, evaluation and quality assessment of the provided education.
