Local Officers (LPOs) | National Officer (NPO)

What is Public Health? What role do we have as medical students?

The main objectives of SCOPH are to inform and educate medical students about public health issues and systemic approaches so as to improve the quality of life, as well as to inform and raise awareness of the general public about the importance of prevention.

The ultimate goal is to ensure that future physicians will be familiar with the public health spectrum at national and international level, as well as they will actively participate in shaping and optimizing health policies which will benefit the society, without any kind of discrimination.

Most important areas of concern: Diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, mental health and psychogenic eating disorders, smoking, skin cancer and public health issues.
