Why is research important in medical school? Why is it essential and how familiar are you with it?
The main objectives of SCORE are for medical students to understand the basic principles of medical research, its methodology, ethical aspects related to medicine and promotion of the importance of it.
The ultimate goal is for medical student to be familiar with all the sub-fields of medical research, broaden their background on it, be trained on both theoretical and practical principles and become familiar with the benefits of implementing research into various aspects of the medical profession.
Most important areas of concern: Participation and execution of research projects, research nationally and internationally, access to research and relevant resources, intercultural understanding.
